FUTURESAX PRESENTS AWARDS FOR MOST INNOVATIVE BUSINESS IDEAS
On January 20, 2010, futureSAX and the Sparkasse Chemnitz bank presented awards for the best business ideas in the first phase of the 2010 Saxon Business Plan Competition. The awards ceremony was held at Chemnitzer Verlag und Druck’s printing works, where regional newspaper Freie Presse is printed. A total of 106 teams submitted their ideas in phase I of futureSAX 2010. And the bio-/nanotechnology category was won by the Retinogen team. Headed by Dierk Wittig, the young group has developed a regenerative cell therapy using mesenchymal stem cells from bone marrow for patients suffering from degenerative diseases of the retina.
