LEIPZIG: DIAGNOSTICS FOR VIRAL DISEASES
The University of Leipzig’s Diagnostics for Viral Diseases junior research group began work on January 1. This project will prepare five or six graduates for industrial research into the treatment of infectious diseases and infection biology in Saxon. The project will grant healthcare and biotech companies in the Leipzig region access to extensive expertise in applied research into infectious diseases and the development of diagnostics. In addition, this project funded by the European Social Fund and the Free State of Saxony will enable the university to quickly transfer findings to the treatment of infectious diseases among humans and animals.
