NEW STUDY: CHANCES OF BIOTECH IN EASTERN GERMANY
Biotech is a driving force in eastern Germany for innovative applications in medicine, agriculture, environmental technology and industrial production. That was the conclusion of the recently published study ‘Chances of Biotechnology in Eastern Germany’ carried out on behalf of the German Ministry of Transport, Building and Urban Development. The diverse biotech infrastructure and well networked players in research and industry were rated as advantages for eastern Germany – but were offset by difficulties in borrowing capital and technology transfer.
