RiboxX GmbH starts at Pharmapark Radebeul

On Tuesday the RiboxX GmbH started its work at the Pharmapark in Radebeul. The business with CEO Dr. Jacques Rohayem is developing innovative solutions in two major fields: RNA-synthesis and gene silencing through RNA interference. The highly innovative and patented (patents pending) Riboxx®-technology is based on the enzymatic amplification of single-stranded RNA in vitro using an RNA-dependent RNA-polymerase. Also, Riboxx has developed a patented (patent pending) new design for siRNA molecules. The Riboxx siRNA-design increases the efficiency of the siRNA, allowing an up to tenfold reduction of the concentration of siRNA needed to achieve gene silencing in comparison to the state-of-the-art, commonly used siRNA. This translates in turn to a tremendous reduction of off-target effects. The prodction is going to start in July.
